KADE Stewart has settled quickly back into life at South Fremantle having had a year back home at Katanning following his AFL stint with Hawthorn and he's already enjoyed the chance to be part of the WAFL State Team in the lead up to Sunday's clash against the SANFL.

QUESTION: For the second week in-a-row you have dominated your opposition pretty much the whole game, you must be happy with the way you are heading into the State Game break?
ANSWER:
To be 4-1 at this stage we're really happy. There's a lot of things still to get better at and a lot of room for improvement for us, but West Coast traditionally started their games really well so we knew it would be pretty hot early. It was important to start well and I thought they did that.

Bulldogs continue strong form to beat Eagles

SOUTH Fremantle continued its impressive start to the 2019 WAFL season winning its first ever game against the West Coast Eagles' reserves team by 59 points to take great momentum into the State Game break.

South Fremantle dominated the contest from start to finish at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Saturday in the first ever meeting with the Eagles' WAFL team.

The Bulldogs ended up winning 20.11 (131) to 9.18 (72) to continue their impressive start to the season to have won four of the five games with the one loss by less than a kick against the still undefeated Perth.

Round 5 Preview | v West Coast Eagles

SOUTH Fremantle plays the West Coast Eagles in the WAFL for the first ever time on Saturday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with the Bulldogs looking to continue their impressive start to the 2019 season.

There might have been plenty of questions surrounding South Fremantle entering 2019 following the departures of a host of quality, experienced players who had been instrumental in the Bulldogs reaching the past three preliminary finals.

But the Bulldogs have been able to still field a team with plenty of experience but also some emerging players ready to grasp their opportunities and the results has been winning three of the opening four games of the season.

Now it's a battle against the West Coast Eagles for the first time this Saturday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. The game begins at 1.15pm and will be a standalone fixture with South Fremantle's reserves and colts both having the bye.

Five Bulldogs Stars in WAFL State Squad

SOUTH Fremantle's form early in the WAFL season has been rewarded with five players named in the 31-man squad that will be chosen from to represent Western Australia against South Australia in next Sunday's State match at Optus Stadium.

The State game for 2019 will be played on Sunday May 12 at Optus Stadium prior to the Fremantle-Richmond AFL contest and there looks likely to be heavy South Fremantle presence in the WAFL line-up.

Brock Higgins, Jacob Dragovich, Chad Pearson, Haiden Schloithe and Kade Stewart are the Bulldogs players to have been included in the initial 31-man squad that has been announced.

Bulldogs continue derby dominance over Sharks

SOUTH Fremantle made it eight consecutive derby victories over East Fremantle commemorating ANZAC Day on Saturday with a thumping 91-point victory at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

It was a commanding performance by South Fremantle who kicked the opening five goals of the contest and were never seriously headed from there.

The result meant that the Bulldogs have won eight straight clashes against East Fremantle and they now have started the new season with a 3-1 record and the only loss was a narrow one to Perth who are undefeated.
