Tuesday, October 7, 2014 - 6:05 PM by Chris Pike

THE South Fremantle Football Club has made another significant appointment to begin what will be a new era starting in the 2015 WAFL season by announcing David Depane as the new football operations manager.

Following on from the recent appointments of new senior coach Todd Curley and colts coach Jason Ireland ahead of the 2015 season with president Haydn Raitt and chief executive Stuart Kemp putting together their team for a new era at the Bulldogs, Depane is the latest piece to fall into place.

Depane replaces Garry Davidson as the football operations manager with the Bulldogs as he steps up after already making the leap to being the player development manager during the 2014 season.

The South Fremantle Football Club is excited by the appointment of Depane as football operations manager with him possessing an outstanding skill set within the football industry and having excelled in 2014 in his role with the Bulldogs as player development manager.

South Fremantle continues its belief in advancing from within whenever possible with the appointment with Depane's great strengths lying in his attention to detail, knowledge of football, and the South Fremantle Football Club players and organisation.

Depane's background has seen him be an assistant coach in South Fremantle's 14s, 15s and 16s development programs from 2010 up until this year while also being named Volunteer of the Year by the South Fremantle District Development Council in 2011 for his work with the Bibra Lake Junior Football Club.

Depane is also a Level 2 accredited coach and has previously done recruiting work for St Kilda before coming on board full-time with South Fremantle as player development manager in 2014.

He will now commence his role as football operations manager on November 1 of this year with his replacement as player development manager to be made shortly.
