South Fremantle's pre-season fixtures
SOUTH Fremantle's highly-anticipated 2014 WAFL campaign kicks off with an intra-club hit out this Saturday following two matches against rival teams leading into the season proper.
There is plenty of excitement surrounding the Bulldogs team of 2014 with young players set to continue to emerge and some promising players coming on board in coach Paul Hasleby's third year at the helm as senior coach.
James Sellar (Melbourne), Ashton Hams (West Coast), Haiden Schloithe (Fremantle) and Steven Verrier (Richmond) are all on board with South Fremantle this season after time in the AFL system.
Josh Pullman and Stephen Mills are two other new signings for South Fremantle in 2014 while a host of young players from last year's reserves premiership team and the colts grand final teams of the last three years will be looking for more opportunities as well.
South Fremantle's first competitive hit out comes this Saturday at Fremantle Oval in an intra-club match beginning at 12.15pm.
Saturday March 8 will then see the Bulldogs take on last year's WAFL minor premiers Claremont at Fremantle Oval with the league match bouncing down at 6.30pm.
Then on Saturday March 15, the Bulldogs will make the trip down to Mandurah to take on Peel Thunder at Bendigo Bank Stadium with the bounce down time for the league match 2.10pm.
That all leads into the start of the 2014 WAFL season proper that sees South Fremantle begin against Subiaco at Leederville's Medibank Stadium with bounce down set for 4.05pm on Saturday March 22.
The Bulldogs' first home game for 2014 will take place in Round 2 against Perth on Friday March 28.
