ADVICE OF 2023 AGM
ADVICE OF 2023 AGM
Members are advised that the 2023 Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 4 December 2023, commencing at 6pm at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
Matters for consideration include:
- Confirming the minutes of the 2022 AGM
- Receiving the 2023 Annual Report
- Receiving and considering the 2023 Financial Statements and Auditor's Report
- To confirm the result of the election or re-election of Club Directors
- The appointment of Auditors
- Confirm nominees for Life and LifeTime Memberships as proposed by the Board
- To deal with any business as shall be brought forward of which due notice has been given.
In accordance with the Club Constitution, nominations are hereby called for the following:
Directors - 2-year term (three positions)
The retiring persons are:
- Bruce Willis - eligible for re-election
- Simon Moore-Crouch – eligible for re-election
- Dean Nalder - eligible for re-election
The Board maintains a skills matrix to help ensure it has the necessary, experience and attributes and skills to oversee SFFC and its strategic direction. Members with one or more of the areas noted below are encouraged to consider nominating.
- Experience in corporate and/or commercial law
- Marketing and branding
- Political networks and Government relations
- Football and business networks
- An understanding of major construction/development projects
SFFC encourages diversity and equal gender representation.
Nominees should be prepared to commit between 15 and 30 hours per month to Board duties (excluding home and away game day attendance), which will include membership of and chairing a sub-committee. The full Club's Board Charter is available for review by request to the CEO.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the SFFC office, by emailing admin@sffc.com.au or telephoning 9335 1555.
Nominees must be a current financial member and include a brief summary of their background, including skills, experience and attributes which will be posted on the club website. Nominations must be on the approved form, signed by two members eligible to vote as proposer and seconder, and signed in acceptance by the nominee.
Following the close of nominations, the names and profiles of nominees, plus the names of proposers and seconders will be posted on the SFFC website until the date of the AGM.
Nominations close at 5pm, Monday 6 November 2023.
