2023 FIXTURES
The 2023 WAFL & WAFLW Fixtures have officially been released and we are excited to get the season underway. Let's take a look at some highlights across the year.
WAFLW
We commence our 14-game 2023 WAFLW 2023 season on Saturday March 11 away against Subiaco at Leederville Oval.
Notable games in the 7-home-game season include a Fremantle Derby against East Fremantle on the club’s blockbuster ‘ANZAC weekend’ clash, scheduled for Saturday April 22.
Our first home game in Freo for the season will see us tackle new WAFLW entrant East Perth for the first-time on Saturday March 18, in a 5.00pm twilight fixture on a balmy Fremantle evening.
WAFL
We commence our 18-game WAFL season on Saturday April 8 (Easter), hosting West Coast at Fremantle Oval.
We will be seeking some redemption following our costly loss to West Coast at Lathlain in the middle of the 2022 season.
We will welcome Peel Thunder to the Port City on ANZAC Round of Saturday April 22, partnering with Legacy WA to raise funds and awareness to support veterans families.
The Club will deliver four games, with Colts, Reserves, WAFL League to be followed by a WAFLW (Derby) twilight clash.
Our traditional Derby will be Saturday July 29, against cross-town rival East Fremantle. The annual blockbuster fixture attracted over 6000 attendees last season, a feat we will look to replicate.
We host Claremont for the blockbuster NAIDOC Round game, a wonderful & long-term tradition between both Clubs. Specially designed guernseys, and cultural activities, will feature as the WAFL community come together to support reconciliation and awareness.
We require patience to have a home ground crack at 2022 Premier West Perth. They travel to Fremantle late in the season, on Saturday August 12, in what is always a tight & fierce contest.
