The South Fremantle Football Club is thrilled to announce that it has surpassed its ‘significant’ 2020 target of 1750 Club members, which in turn has helped to achieve a decade club membership record.

During a year of much uncertainty, including the 4-month delay to the commencement of the 2020 Optus WAFL Premiership Season, the Bulldogs community has rallied to the cause and showed enormous generosity and commitment to the Football Club.

As well as setting a modern-era membership record, the Bulldogs have been further buoyed by the current scenario of no member or commercial partner refund requests lodged with the Club. This is a considerable statement of loyalty from Bulldogs fans, to which the club is extremely grateful.

South Fremantle Football Club President Peter Christie, a 16-year veteran of the Club’s Board, explains how everyone involved at Fremantle Community Bank Oval have been so overwhelmed by the support shown from members -

“Despite the recent uncertainty, plus the obvious fact that we’re all dearly missing WAFL Football, this membership record is genuine testament to the quality and character of South Fremantle people” Christie said.

“I’ve seen many Bulldog eras, and right now is a new and exciting era, based upon the strength and connection that exists between this Club and our proud community”.

“I wish to thank every single one of our loyal and generous members, and I encourage all Souths fans to consider joining as signed-up 2020 members, showing support during this unique and unparalleled year” Christie concluded.
