SOUTH Fremantle Women's Football Club has four positions available ahead of the 2018 Mundella WA Women's Football League season.

The South Fremantle Women's Football Club is looking for expressions of interests for the positions of league coach, reserves coach, assistant coaches and strength and conditioning coach heading towards the 2018 season.

SOUTH FREMANTLE FOOTBALL CLUB HEAD COACH – WOMEN’S FOOTBALL
Title: Head Coach
Reports to: Club Executive/ SFFC Female Football Director
Direct Reports: League Assistant Coaches
Overview Role: The South Fremantle Football Club, Head Coach – Women’s Football will be responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of the Club’s football and coaching strategy. '
 
The Head Coach – Women’s Football will be responsible for overall coaching of the Woman’s League Team, managing coaching staff and implementing a game plan effectively. The objective is to create a high performance environment and develop a culture of success with shared values.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop players in line with individual development plans and game plan
  • Coach South Fremantle Football Club Women’s Football Club League Team
  • Design and implement football program, both pre-season and in-season that align to the Club’s Football Operational Plan
  • Plan and conduct coaching sessions that will develop skills and game knowledge of players
  • Develop skill development strategies and tactics for a variety of situations and opponents
  • Work collaboratively with key staff to create a high performance culture
  • Positive working relationship with all players and coaching staff
  • Provide strong leadership to the playing and coaching groups that encourages a supportive team environment consistent with the Club’s values
  • Provide feedback to playing group and staff in an open and professional manner

Key Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to coach senior footballers
  • Preference in coaching women athletes
  • Level 2 Accredited coach or higher
  • Commitment to attend all training sessions and matches
  • Previous experience coaching in talent programs
  • Deep understanding of football tactics, coaching techniques and motivational factors of female players
  • Proven ability to manage and develop talent
  • Strong planning ability
  • Exceptional knowledge and interpretation of football rules, modern coaching techniques, strategies and training methods
  • Sound understanding of sill development learning strategies

Time Requirement:
  • Valid WA Working with Children Card
  • Required to attend club functions, professional learning and other events requested by the club
  • Opportunities to work in collaboration with SFFC coaches and exposed to SFFC Football program
  • An honorarium may be offered to the successful applicant, depending on experience
  • Training 2-3 nights per week, plus planning, review & meetings Match day in-season

RESERVES COACH 
SOUTH FREMANTLE FOOTBALL CLUB - WOMEN'S FOOTBALL 
 
The South Fremantle Football Club (SFFC) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for the position of Reserves Coach- Women’s Football for the 2018 West Australian Women’s Football League (WAWFL) season. 
 
The Club has a successful coach development program and supports its coaches in their personal and professional development. Coaches can continue their development via mentoring from senior coaches both within the Club and externally, autonomy in running training sessions, and through assistance with professional development programs. 
 
To be considered for this role, you will need experience developing footballers, along with outstanding communication and leadership skills. Previous experience coaching female athletes is desirable but not essential. 
 
Suitable applicants will possess the following; 
 
People Management & Planning:  
  • Capacity to effectively manage athletes and staff
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and conduct training sessions that will develop skills and game knowledge of all players
  • Capacity to develop/educate/mentor players of all abilities and ages
  • Ability to establish a culture of respect
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches and other Club staff/volunteers
  • Ability to establish and achieve team and individual goals
 
Football Knowledge: 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern football tactics, coaching techniques, strategies and training methods
  • Sound understanding of skill development learning strategies
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development in the area of coach education
  • Capacity to develop and implement individual training programs that will maximise the abilities of all individual players
 
Communication: 
  • Various communication skills (verbal, written, visual etc.)
  • Ability to provide feedback to playing group and staff in an open and professional manner
  • Strong and effective leadership
 
Qualification: 
  • AFL Level 1 coach accreditation or higher, or ability to obtain
  • Valid WA Working with Children Card
 
Availability: 
  • Ability to attend training twice per week and all games
  • Required to attend club functions, professional learning & other events requested by the club
